This was supposed to be a quick stop for lunch, but turned into a fabulous dining experience. The food was out of this world! Fresh, clean and delicious. The squash pot stickers were a wonderful medley of flavors. What a beautiful location and relaxing spot. Excellent decor and super friendly service.
These are spacious condo like accommodations. Full kitchen with plenty of cookware. Comfortable and with fireplaces in master and living room. They are a bit dated and some of the doors don't lock.
The rooms themselves were a bit dated, but were also warm and homey. I think it fit the atmosphere. There's a full kitchen and reminded me of an airbnb setup. They had one extra blanket. They did not have fitted sheets, not sure why, but it was annoying to have to reset it every day because it would come up each night. We definitely needed to get more soaps all around. The deck was large and had a couple different seating areas looking at the fall colored trees and parking lot. The hot water was limited, if there were more than just the two of us (the room sleeps four) it would have been a big problem with showers.
In general, it could use a lot of cleaning and dusting. It seemed like the floors had been swept but not mopped. All the fake plants were coated in dust which wasn't super appealing.
The service was good, but we had to ask about the complimentary wine because they missed it on check in.
For people used to AC, we were a bit worried that there wasn't really any. But they had a ton of fans so it worked out. Our list of complaints were individually pretty trivial, but adding it all up made it kind of disappointing. The thing that bothered us the most was the poor wifi. I understand that it is probably difficult to get good wifi service in the area, but it truly only worked half the time and even then it was spotty. The tvs were very nice quality when the wifi did work.
We paid extra for the creek view, but next time we won't because we really couldn't see it. I would consider renaming it to "creek side" because it is close to the creek, but there not a direct view. The sound of the creek was nice though. And we were able to walk to the creek, it would have been nice to have seats by the water.
Location wise, there were loads of amazing trails nearby and they are technically within walking distance if you don't mind walking along the highway.
The rooms often come with some dated compromise like undersized showers stalls in the master, but I must admit, I can overlook that because of the abundance of character and warmth on this property. We come each year and our stay at Junipine compares with the best anywhere. The radiant heaters is a great, nostalgic touch I love as it reminds me up growing up. We'll be back.
Awesome quiet place to be... was fun having a fire and refreshing to be in cool weather. The people who worked in the lobby and restaurant were really friendly and the food was really good!
I have to admit I absolutely loved this place! It was beautiful, picturesque, and quiet. It was supposed to be a romantic anniversary trip for me and my husband and I was not disappointed. The hot tub on the balcony was clean and worked perfectly. Everything about the unit was clean and in working order. The place was warm, comfortable and roomy. The price was the only thing holding me back from staying multiple nights lol.
Upon arrival both women at the front desk had a pretentious attitude, like we were about to stay in one of Sedona's most upscale accommodations. We did pay over $500 for the night, but it was a last minute booking and we wanted 3 beds, something hard to find at a hotel. While cozy, the cabin was too antiquated for the price tag. The "wood" floors were warped and rippling, giving a cheap and gross feeling upon entry. Biggest issue was that the wall heater made a very loud humming sound, so loud that my daughter couldn't fall asleep.
They told us upon arrival that they happened to be open 24 hours that evening (Sat. Nov. 26th, 2023), however there was no answer when we called several times around 1 AM to get a solution for the loud humming. Upon departure I mentioned this to the front desk, and the maintenance person who was standing nearby said something about us needing to change a fireplace setting in order to stop the humming sound. Huh? The humming sounds were very clearly coming from the front of the cabin by the heating/fan mechanism. However, they were so quick to make an excuse (not really hear me) that I gave right up. No apology was offered.
Upon arrival front desk informed us that firewood was already in our cabin, but that we could come back and get more at anytime. However, when we came back to get more, they said it would be $20/bundle - something they should've mentioned earlier.
Last thing, we could not get the TV to work. Every time we tried to watch anything from any app, even the "free" movies, we were forced to type in a 4 digit Amazon pin that was not available (see picture attached). We tried everything, and we simply could not escape the pin-requirement. Upon departure, this was the second issue I mentioned, and again, the maintenance person excused it immediately - saying that it was a setting from the owner of the cabin, and they had no control over it. Really? I will get a hotel next time and we'll share beds.
Best thing we can say is we loved the real fireplace and used it the entire time. We stayed in cabin 12.
Seriously, if you need to cancel make sure you do it 7 DAYS in ADVANCE. Or else they charge you. Like they can't find another booking if you give them 48 hours notice. I can understand charging for same day or within 24 hours.
